Our Competitors

Background Information

For $6.49 a week, Fitness Coach allows the user to create a goal, select their physical performance, and introduces them to a fitness coach based on their chosen routine.
The app includes hundreds of workouts to choose from and an added meal plan,
with nutritional value, that the user can follow if they choose to.

Strengths

Weaknesses

Opportunities

Threats

  • Allows the user to choose which part of body they would like to workout
  • Allows the user to choose how many days a week
  • Short workouts that help burn calories
  • Allows the user to log water drank, steps taken, and daily activities
  • Includes a meal plan that the user can use
  • Full app is blocked by pay wall
  • Only a 3 day free trial and then you must pay $6.49 a week to use the app
  • Video workouts that cost money, when you could find videos on YouTube with
    this information
  • Advertisements showed this as a free app, a lot of people were complaining
    about this
  • Remove the pay
    wall, would get
    more consumers
  • Allow users to log in their own meal plans
  • Add a calorie tracker
  • Add more workouts, instead of keeping them all behind a pay wall
  • Add more “at the gym” workouts, instead of just home ones
  • Companies which give users the ability to add their own workouts and meal plans
  • A workout app that is cheaper, or free
  • Apps that include both
    at home and weight
    training workouts

Background Information

For $6.49 a week, the 30 Day Fitness app allows the user to choose from hundreds of video instructed workout routines, which the app tracks and records their progress for every day for 30 days. They allow you to personalize your routines by choosing your plan to either lose weight, gain muscle, or be more active. You can also choose the number of workouts per week and the duration of them. This app promises that by following their videos, you will be able to reach your goal.

Strengths

Weaknesses

Opportunities

Threats

  • Very Informative
  • A variety of workout options
  • Allows you to put in the most important, relevant, information (Height, weight, how often you workout, where you workout)
  • Fills up the percentage of the workout you do per day
  • Free one week trial
    before pay
  • Expensive, $6.49 a week, little more than 21 dollars a month, nearly $252 a year.
  • Many ads, in app purchases
  • Only includes home
    workouts, no equipment
  • Suggested exercises seem random, very basic workouts
  • App suggest basic work outs at home are superior to weight training
  • Tracking system is odd, does not allow you to track your own workouts, only what
    they provide
  • Adding personalization which allows users to add their
    own workouts
  • Add a calorie counter to help people keep track of the foods they eat
  • Lower the price, or
make it at least 7 dollars a month
  • Add more intense workouts, rather than just at home ones
  • Companies which give users the ability to add their own workouts and meal plans
  • A workout app that is cheaper, or free
  • Apps that include both
    at home and weight
    training workouts
  • Apps that keep track of your running distance
